Hello! Hello!! I hope you’ve had a good week and are having or have had a great weekend? Yes, you! I’m looking at you.🤓
I’ve had a full week and weekend with work, family and friends and new friends too, that I’ve not had the brain or finger energy to compose a new blog post. So, I thought I’ll also share with you one of my Bible study entries on the life of Abraham that I shared in my women’s coaching group this week, SuperAbundant Women.
I like this one because earlier this week at house fellowship in my Connect group, the leader shared how she personalised a couple of verses and confessed them relentlessly for a job. And she got a job within a week!🥳
So, I’ve done the same towards the end of this post and I hope it blesses you as I know it would.
The passage for today is Romans 4 v 18 – 25. And here are my musings on those verses.
đź’ˇGod had already made Abraham “a father of many nations,” but “even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping – believing that he would become the father of many nations.”
He was becoming what God had already made him!🤓
Verse 19🤔: How did Abraham get to that place of absolute, unwavering faith in God’s promise to do what He had said, despite the evidence of death around them – the deadness of his body and of Sarah’s womb?
Was there any particular encounter with God that built his faith?
I’ve somewhat found verses 19 to 21 a bit challenging to reconcile with Genesis 15 v 2, 3. Isn’t that evidence of a staggering faith?🤔
Confession:
Against all hope, [insert your name] in hope believed God and s/he became the [insert what God has promised you], just as it had been said to her/him, [insert the Scriptural backing].
And [insert your name]’s faith did not weaken, even though [insert obvious obstacles]. Yet s/he did not waver in believing God’s promises.
In fact, her/his faith grew stronger and in this, s/he brought glory to God. S/he was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises.
And because of her faith, God counted her/him righteous. And so, her/his righteousness assured others that God will also count them as righteous if they believe on Him.
And that’s all I have for you all this week.
To your going into this week, and finding prayers answered and joy restored. . .
